General Information

This moth is distinguished by its dark colouration suffused with yellow and with metallic edging of the median fascia and forewing. It flies wildly over trees and bushes in the afternoon and evening.

Foodplant(s): broadleaved trees, broadleaved shrubs
Flying: One generation, May-June
National status: Common

Habitat

Wooded areas and orchards.
