General Information

The adults of this species vary in colour from very pale yellow to almost orange.

Overwinters as Doesn't overwinter in the UK.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 12-14mm.
Foodplant(s): Cock's-foot (Dactylis glomerata), Annual Meadow-grass (Poa annua), grasses
Flying: Two generations, April-November (mostly August-October)
UK Presence: Immigrant
National status: Common

Habitat

Mainly grassy coastal areas.

Regional Information

Recorded in 23 (8.5%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in October 2023
