General Information
This species flies on sunny days and is a very distinctive mainly black moth with four large white spots.
Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes come to light.
Flies during the day

Forewing length: 12-13mm.
Foodplant(s): Field Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis)
Flying: One/two generations, mid May-early July and late July-late August
UK Presence: Resident, Possible Immigrant
National status: Nationally Scarce A

Habitat

Hot, well-drained grassland, verges, field margins, embankments and waste ground.

Regional Information

Recorded in 16 (5.9%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
