General Information

The males of this species are slightly smaller and darker than females. Both sexes have white hindwings.


Wingspan: 22-33 mm.
Foodplant(s): Reedmace (Typha latifolia)
Flying: One generation, July-August

Habitat

Marshes, fens and other wet habitats.

Regional Information

Recorded in 83 (30.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
