General Information

Although this species resembles H. nubiferana, it can be distinguished by the position of two blackish dots on the white of the forewing.


Wingspan: 15-18 mm.
Foodplant(s): plums (Prunus spp.), Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa)
Flying: One generation, May-July
National status: Common

Recorded in 118 (43.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
