This species has characteristic upturned wingtips when at rest.

Pupates in a tubular silken cocoon on the underside of a leaf.
Both sexes come to light.

Wingspan: 20-22mm
Foodplant(s): honeysuckles (Lonicera spp.)
Flying: One generation, June-September
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Heathland, woodland, fens, scrubs, gardens and grassland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 40 (14.8%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
