General Information

This species was first found in the UK in Suffolk in 1997 and is rapidly expanding its range. A native of North America, it is believed that it was introduced with imported garden Juniper or Cyresses.


Wingspan: 8-9 mm
Foodplant(s): cypresses (Cypressus spp.), Common Juniper (Juniperus communis)
Flying: One generation, June-July
UK Presence: Accidental Introduction
National status: Local
