General Information

This species has a red forewing tip and a broad red band on its abdomen.

Moth activity times: 13:00-18:00.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Flies during the day

Forewing length: 9-11mm.
Foodplant(s): Osier (Salix viminalis), willows (Salix spp.)

Habitat

Sallow carr, swamp, osier or withy beds, riverbanks, flooded pits and ponds. Other damp marshy areas.

Recorded in 27 (10%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
