Pupates on the ground on in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light.
Often disturbed during day

Foodplant(s): Crab Apple (Malus sylvestris), Apple (Malus domestica), pears (Pyrus spp.), hawthorns (Crataegus spp.), Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa), cherries (Prunus spp.)

Recorded in 119 (44.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
