General Information

This is the largest of this genus of four UK 'Longhorn' moths. All have unmarked ochreous wings and very long antennae (twice length of forewing in male, female a little shorter).

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.

Wingspan: 17-21mm.
Foodplant(s): herbaceous plants, decaying plant matter (possibly)
Flying: One generation, May-June
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Woodland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 15 (5.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in June 2023
