General Information

This species is often confused with P.aurata. The arrangement of the postmedian markings on the forewing, forming a continuous broad band, often broken into three is diagnostic.

Flies during the day

Wingspan: c.20 mm.
Foodplant(s): mints (Mentha spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May-June and August
National status: Common
