General Information

This species has a characteristic dorsal blotch which is divided into four white striae.


Wingspan: 9-10 mm.
Foodplant(s): clovers (Trifolium spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May-June and August
National status: Common

Habitat

Meadows and grassy places, especially on rough chalky or sandy ground.

Regional Information

Recorded in 7 (2.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
