General Information

This species is generally larger than other species of the Endothenia, but genital dissection is required for positive identification.


Wingspan: 15-19 mm.
Foodplant(s): teasels (Dipsacus spp.)
Flying: One generation, June-July
National status: Common

Habitat

Rough uncultivated ground, waysides and embankments.

Regional Information

Recorded in 110 (40.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
