General Information

This species has only minor sexual dimorphism. The female doesn't have a costal fold, but has a protruding apex on the forewing.


Wingspan: male 15-21mm, female 16-23mm.
Foodplant(s): deciduous trees
Flying: Two overlapping generations, June-August
National status: Common

Habitat

Woodlands and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 88 (32.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
