General Information

Genital examination is required to reliably seperate this moth from C. prunifoliae and C. spinella.

 

Pupates inside the larval case on the upper side of a leaf.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.

Wingspan: 8.5-11.5 mm
Foodplant(s): Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa), Apple (Malus domestica), cherries (Prunus spp.), hawthorns (Crataegus spp.)
Flying: One generation, June-July
UK Presence: Resident
