General Information

This species is easily confused with several other greyish brown Coleophorid species. The distinct rings on the apex of the antenna distinguish this species from C. serratella, but genital dissection is still usually required for a definitive identification.

 

The larvae build successively larger portable cases from cut-out leaf fragments.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light.
