General Information

Pupates amongst the roots of the food plant.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes come to light, males more often than females.
Often disturbed during day

Forewing length: 10-11mm.
Foodplant(s): Tormentil (Potentilla erecta), Creeping Cinquefoil (Potentilla reptans)
Flying: One generation, late May-mid July
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Nationally Scarce B

Habitat

Dry open woodland on acid soil, heathland, grassland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 1 (0.4%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
