General Information

Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.

Forewing length: 11-13mm.
Foodplant(s): Yarrow (Achillia millefolium), Sneezewort (Anthemis ptarmica)
Flying: One generation, July-August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Surburban gardens, rural gardens, grassland, fens and open woodland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 45 (16.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in June 2022

Recorded date range (Adult): 02 June to 21 September
