This is one of three Epirrita species which are almost indistinguishable, certainly on markings alone.
This species is the most widespread and common species of the three.
Pupates in loose soil.
Broadleaved woodland and gardens.
Recorded in 63 (23.3%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
