General Information

The larvae produce a narrow, tubular mine between the veins of a leaf.


Wingspan: 6-8mm
Foodplant(s): Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus)
Flying: Two generations, May and July-August
UK Presence: Accidental Introduction
National status: Local

Habitat

Woodland, hedgerows and scrub.

Recorded in 22 (8.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
