General Information

This species has a white forewing with a brown mark in the middle of the dorsum and a brown marking in the middle of the costa, sometimes almost meeting to form an angled fascia.

Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.

Wingspan: 7-10.5 mm
Foodplant(s): mints (Mentha spp.)
Flying: One generation, June-July
UK Presence: Resident

Habitat

Fens, alder carrs and marshes.

Regional Information

Recorded in 3 (1.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in July 1995
