General Information

This is a quite distinctive Scoparia species although it is variable.


Wingspan: 17-22 mm.
Foodplant(s): decaying plant matter
Flying: One generation, June-July
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Grassland, heathland, woodland, scrub and fens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 36 (13.3%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in June 2023
