This species has diagnostic yellow labial palps. Its colour pattern gives it the appearance of a bird-dropping or part of a flower.

Wingspan: 16-22 mm.
Foodplant(s): Wild Rose (Rosa acicularis), cultivated roses (Rosa spp.)
Flying: One generation, May-July
National status: Common

Habitat

Hedgerows, orchards and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 83 (30.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
