This moth is large and distinctive, showing large areas of white.


Wingspan: 19-24 mm.
Foodplant(s): sallows (Salix spp.), poplars (Populus spp.)
Flying: One generation, June-September
National status: Common

Habitat

Marshy places, banks of streams, open woodland, parks and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 59 (21.9%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
