General Information

The first British record was in Dartford Kent on 6th November 2011 by Norman Winterman with a second turning up close by just two days later in a trap operated by James Hunter et al. Since then it has slowly moved north and west. It was first recorded in Bedfordshire in 2017 and in Cambridgeshire in late 2018. 

Overwinters as Overwinters as an adult.
Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.

Foodplant(s): oaks (Quercus spp.), maples (Acer spp.), hawthorns (Crataegus spp.), sallows (Salix spp.), roses (Rosa spp.), deciduous trees
Flying: One generation, September-April
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local
