General Information

Pupates in a cocoon attached to the underside of a leaf.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a larva.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 19-23mm.
Foodplant(s): Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur), birches (Betula spp.)
Flying: One generation, late June-July
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local

Habitat

Broadleaved woodland with scrub oak.

Regional Information

Recorded in 59 (21.9%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
