Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.

Forewing length: 14-16mm.
Foodplant(s): Aspen (Populus tremula), poplars (Populus spp.)
Flying: One generation, late July-early September

Habitat

Woodland, fens, shelterbelts, lakesides, parks and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 53 (19.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
