Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an adult.
Both sexes come to light.

Forewing length: 24-29mm.
Foodplant(s): Bog-myrtle (Myrica gale), Heather (Calluna vulgaris), Yellow Iris (Iris pseudacorus), sedges (Carex spp.), rushes (Juncus spp.), broadleaved shrubs
Flying: One generation, September-November and March-late May (hibernates)
UK Presence: Resident, Possible Immigrant
National status: Local

Habitat

Moorland, heathland, damp woodland and marshes.

Regional Information

Recorded in 3 (1.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
