General Information

The female of this species is almost wingless and therefore remains on the cocoon from which she emerged.

 

Pupates in a cocoon attached to the food plant or a nearby wall or fence.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.
Male readily comes to light, sometimes in numbers. Female not.
Flies during the day
