This is a day-flying species feeding at tubular flowers such as Bugle, Honeysuckle etc.
Much decreased due to the decline of coppicing, maturation of dense stands of conifers and browsing of Honeysuckle by increased deer populations.
Pupates in loose soil.
Woodland rides, open areas and heathland.
Recorded in 4 (1.5%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
