General Information

Pupates in loose soil, occasionally for two years.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.

Forewing length: 10-14mm.
Foodplant(s): Bladder Campion (Silene vulgaris), Sea Campion (Silene uniflora)
Flying: One generation, May-June
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local

Habitat

Chalky soils and coastal habitats.

Regional Information

Recorded in 7 (2.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
