General Information

Pupates in loose soil.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.
Both sexes come to light but in small numbers only.
Often found feeding during day

Forewing length: 16-19mm.
Foodplant(s): sallows (Salix spp.), Aspen (Populus tremula), Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus)
Flying: One generation, June-July
UK Presence: Resident

Habitat

Open woodland, heathland, grassland and marshy areas.

Regional Information

Recorded in 21 (7.8%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
