General Information

Males darker and usually slightly larger than the females. Widespread in the Brecks, less so elsewhere but still fairly common and scattered.


Wingspan: c. 10-15 mm.
Foodplant(s): grasses, sedges (Carex spp.)
Flying: One generation, June-July
National status: Local
