General Information

This is one of three very similar species. It is generally larger species than N.trimaculana.


Wingspan: 16-20mm.
Foodplant(s): Wild Rose (Rosa acicularis), cultivated roses (Rosa spp.)
Flying: One generation, June-July
National status: Common

Habitat

Chalk downs, open woodland, thickets, hedgerows and gardens.

Regional Information

Recorded in 20 (7.4%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in July 2023
