General Information

The dark basal patch and the comparatively well-developed median fascia distinguish this species from B. lancealana.


Wingspan: 13-19 mm
Foodplant(s): Common Club-rush (Schoenoplectus lacustris), Compact Rush (Juncus conglomeratus)
Flying: One generation, June-July
National status: Local

Habitat

Marshes, bogs, banks of streams and canals and margins of lakes and ponds.

Regional Information

Recorded in 27 (10%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in August 2023
