General Information

This species has a distinctive reticulated (chequered) pattern on the forewing.


Wingspan: 12-17 mm.
Foodplant(s): Field Maple (Acer campestre), Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus)
Flying: One generation, July-September
National status: Common

Habitat

Gardens and mixed woodland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 115 (42.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
