General Information

This is commonly found inside houses and can be seen all your round (although more commonly in the summer).

The larvae feed on animal and plant detritus and other materials.

Wingspan: 16-25mm.
Foodplant(s): animal carcasses, plant matter
Flying: All year
National status: Common
