General Information

This moth has a whiter forewing than the similar species.

 

The larvae produce a gallery mine down the leaf.


Wingspan: 9-10mm.
Foodplant(s): Common Cottongrass (Eriophorum angustifolium), sedges (Carex spp.)
Flying: Two overlapping generations, June-August

Habitat

Wet bogs and acid heaths.

Regional Information

Recorded in 3 (1.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
