General Information

The forewings are a lead-grey colour with clean white markings.

The larvae create either a long and slender or short and broad mine starting at the leaf tip.


Wingspan: 7-9mm
Foodplant(s): Glaucous Sedge (Carex flacca), Tufted Hair-grass (Deschampsia cespitosa), sedges (Carex spp.)
Flying: One generation, May-June

Habitat

Sheltered sandy or calcareous areas.
