This species is very difficult to distinguish from several of the other greyish-brown Coleophorid species. Examination of the genitalia is usually necessary.
The larvae have a distinctive feeding pattern, creating small holes in the leaves of the foodplant. A case is then created which is replaced as the larva grows.
Recorded in 53 (19.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
