This is a very distinctive species and is unlikely to be confused with any others.

Both sexes readily come to light, sometimes in numbers.
Often found at rest during day

Foodplant(s): Field Maple (Acer campestre), Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus)
Flying: One generation, July-October
