General Information

One of three similar Acer-feeding Phyllonorycters.

 

The larvae form a small mine, usually in the lobe of leaf, folding the tip.


Wingspan: 8mm
Foodplant(s): Field Maple (Acer campestre)
Flying: Two generations, May and August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Recorded in 245 (90.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
