General Information

This species is similar to P. blancardella, but is generally brighter and cleaner in appearance.

 

The larvae produce a mine that is difficult to distinguish from that produced by P. blancardella.


Wingspan: 8-9mm
Foodplant(s): Quince (Cydonia oblonga), Crab Apple (Malus sylvestris), Wild Service-tree (Sorbus torminalis)
Flying: Two generations, May and August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Local
