Adults are very difficult to distinguish from other Stigmella species.

Both sexes come to light.

Wingspan: 4-5mm
Foodplant(s): pears (Pyrus spp.)
Flying: Two generations, May and August
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Proposed Red Data Book

Orchards.
