This is a distinctive moth with two creamy spots and basal patch on a violet-tinged blackish forewing.
The larvae mine oak leaves creating a triangular blotch. They can often be found in fallen leaves where the presence of the mine creates a 'green island'.
Recorded in 188 (69.6%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
