General Information

This moth has dark brownish wings with a broken creamy fascia.

 

The larvae form an initially squarish pale green blotch mine with frass along one side.

Overwinters as Overwinters as a pupa.

Wingspan: 5-6 mm.
Foodplant(s): oaks (Quercus spp.)
Flying: One generation, June
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Regional Information

Recorded in 181 (67%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.

Last recorded in October 2022
