General Information

This species is not easily distinguished from the similar species and genital examination is often required.

 

Fresh moths often have pink or purple legs.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an adult.
Both sexes come to light.

Wingspan: 16-22mm
Foodplant(s): Broom (Cytisus scoparius), Gorse (Ulex europaeus), Dyer's Greenweed (Genista tinctoria), Petty Whin (Genista anglica), Tree Lupin (Lupinus arboreus)
Flying: One generation, July-September
