General Information

This moth flies from mid-afternoon to early evening/dusk around conifers. The female is larger and general colouration is variable between the sexes.

Flies during the day

Wingspan: male 19-21mm, female 22-28mm.
Foodplant(s): Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris), Silver Fir (Abies alba)
Flying: One generation, June-July
National status: Red Data Book

Habitat

Coniferous woodland.

Regional Information

Recorded in 2 (0.7%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
