General Information

Prefers the dry belt at high tide.

Most common and widespread of the salt-marsh feeding Coleophoridae.

Larvae form distinctive 'dirty-looking' case which is coated with dark granules.

Foodplant(s): Long-stalked Orache (Atriplex longipes), Annual Sea-blite (Suaeda maritima), glassworts (Salicornia spp.), Grass-leaved Orache (Atriplex littoralis)
Flying: One generation, July-August

Salt marsh.
