General Information

This species has a plain brown, slightly metallic colouration which distinguishes it from other members of the Glyphipterix family.

Overwinters as Overwinters as an egg.

Wingspan: 10-16mm
Foodplant(s): Field Wood-rush (Luzula campestris)
Flying: One generation, May-June
UK Presence: Resident
National status: Common

Habitat

Dry, grassy areas.

Regional Information

Recorded in 11 (4.1%) of the 270 2km squares of Huntingdonshire.
